Fall Color Run

Our Annual Fall Color Run is one of our favorite trips each year.   This year, we chose to go to Old Washington State Park.

Bill took a moment to pray for us before we pulled out of the driveway.

We passed this really neat building on the way. Check out the colors on that tree!

We drove past miles and miles of pastures and fences.

This is where we got to eat!  It was a small Tavern that had been in business since 1832.  The state of Arkansas restored it and now it's back in business!

Pauline and Bill posed with a scarecrow before lunch.

This young lady served us during lunch.  She knew all kinds of fun facts about the Tavern and even sang to us!

This was so nice-we all got eat int he same room and had the place to ourselves.   It was great!

Bill wanted to race the horses.  The horses didn't seem to care.

The old court house is now the park's information center.

We found a beautiful quilt display.  The yellow one was made in the 1800s.

Jim tried to do a Scarlet O'Hara impersonation.

Joe always follows the rules.

Alcoholics!  Somebody should have told them that those bottles were full of plain grape juice.  No booze to be had, girls!

Neat!

We found the old court room upstairs.  Judge Tricia!

The jury was ready to hear the case of the angry bus driver!

OBJECTION!

A lost relative?

We found this neat building on the way home.

That porch is just beautiful.

The sun was just perfect over Lake Degray on the way home.

Stunning farmland.

Pass the snacks!

We had a wonderful time!  The sun was shining and we laughed harder than we had in ages.   We can't wait until next year!
