Bill's Son Makes the News!

Our Bus Driver, Bill, has been a central part of the CCV family for years.   We learned this morning that about a month ago, his son saved a man's life.   Read the article here:

We could not be more proud of Bill's son!   We are so grateful that the Good Lord was watching over that young man and that he is recovering well. 

 

The CCV family is proud to claim Bill as one of our own.  :)

2013 Senior Olympics

Catch a Shining Star Winner

We recently ask the Residents of CCV to pick a staff member who they thought deserved to be recognized for their dedication, loyalty and overall contributions to the CCV Family. 

 

After several weeks of voting, the ballets were tallied.   The Winner Was....

 

 Tricia!   Tricia is our Head Server and has been with CCV family since  1993.   Her love of our residents made her an easy choice for our first ever Shining Star.

 

 

Tricia has set the bar high for everyone else.

August Wellness Month Awards Ceremony!

We have taken extra diligence in watching over our health this month.  We have focused on Getting Informed, Getting Fit, Getting Restored and Giving Back to our communities!   We have seen doctors, specialists, instructors, therapists and all manner of speakers.   We have walked and worked out and drank water until we could float away! 

But the time has finally come to reward all of that hard work!  

Congratulations to the Gold Medal Winners!   This group of folks put up more time and effort than anyone over the month of August. You are spectacular examples of what it means to take control over your health.  

 

(Please understand that those shining sentiments do not apply to Stacy or Chef William-who felt the need to photobomb)

We added up the total walking distances for each person who completed August Wellness month.  In total, this group walked 383.33 miles.  That's like walking to Memphis, stopping for some BBQ, and keeping on walking!  We are so proud!

HOG SEASON HAS STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!

We did our first Hog Call of the year last Friday.  We are happy to report that the Hog pulled in a win on  Saturday.  

 

You may wonder why everyone is looking to their right?

 

We can't tell you.   You'll have to join us on a Friday at lunch and see for yourself.  We will give you a hint, though.  But only because THOSE HOGS won!
