Giving Back-School Supply Collection Drive Ends

 

The time has come to gather all of the school supplies that we gathered for the Hillcrest Children's Home and deliver them! 

 

 Remember our School Supply Collection Bus?   It made it's grand debut at the first of July.

 

 

We were so proud of how full the bus was!

 

 

We had to make an assembly line to get the supplies off the bus and into Hillcrest.

 

 

Ever the gentleman, Leon was kind enough to carry in all of the heaviest boxes.

 

 

 

Pass 'em up!

 

 

We would like to thank everyone who donated, and would like to extend a special thanks to these folks, who took the time out of their days to help us deliver a bus load of school supplies to Hillcrest Children's Home.

Macular Degeneration Presentation by Dr. Simmons

We were delighted to welcome Dr. Simmons of Benton Eye Clinic to speak with us yesterday.  Dr. Simmons spoke on Macular Degeneration.  He explained the differences between Wet Macular Degeneration and Dry Macular Degeneration and took time to answers all of our questions.   He was kind enough to answer dozens of questions from the packed audience.

 

 

Dr. Simmons was fantastic!

There wasn't an empty seat in the house!

 

 

After the presentation, Dr. Simmons and his staff gave away prizes! 

 

It was wonderful having Dr. Simmons be a part of our August Wellness Month.  Eye care is so vital to our overall health and taking a proactive approach to controlling our eye care by listening to Dr. Simmons was invaluable.
