Biggest Losers Are Losing....BIG!

We've gathered together to lose those unwanted pounds!  Our Biggest Losers meet 5 days a week with Jennifer from Senior Life Care.  We walk two days a week, do aerobics two days a week, and have a Weigh In and Nutrition Class every Wednesday!  Check back with us in a few weeks-you won't even recognize us!

Well, looky here!  The ladies seemed to pick up an addition!  Poor Ronnie just thought he was here to visit...Ha!

Chocolate Chunks & Handsome Hunks!

Friday was a good day to be a woman in the CCV Family!  The ladies met upstairs in the Stardust Room and had a little "girl time".  We took some time to truly appreciate two of our favorite things...

So here's the game-25 pictures of celebrities from the 1920s-1950s were passed around with numbers on the back.  Each lady tried to remember who was who and earned $100 for each name they got right.

It took a minute to get our Hamsters going...but we who could forget these faces?

Virginia, Irene and Nancy remembered the most names-they got 19 right out of 25!

We had a BLAST!  

Since the boys already had their Pretzels and Pinups party, they couldn't say a thing when we walked out of the room with girlie smiles on our faces!

Day Trip to Benton

This morning, the ladies loaded up and headed North to Benton!  We stopped and had a wonderful lunch at Chillies first, then took a breather before heading into the Alcoa Exchange.

We had a hoot picking out our meals.

Audry enjoyed the weather as she went from store to store!

Selma shopped until she dropped!

I told you she dropped-along with the rest of us!  After a day of shopping, we all gathered together and had a coffee at Starbucks. 

Oh ladies...you simply MUST start a new trend with the "crown necklaces"! 

We all had a wonderful time!   Our next "Girl's Only" trip is in the works-be sure to join us!

July 4th Celebration

We celebrated July 4th with our Second Annual July 4th Golf Cart Parade! 

This year, the Handbell Choir gathered to preform some fantastic Patriotic Music for the parade!

Uh oh...so much for "Independence", eh, Jim?

The crowd gathered early for the best seats!

 Tom did a fantastic job decorating the Lead Golf Cart!

Walter, our local Police Chaplin, kindly "arrested" Jim and took him for a spin at the end of the parade-with the lights and sirens blazing, of course!

We had a FANTASTIC time at the Parade!   Afterwards, we all headed back into the air conditioning for a fantastic July 4th meal of Hot dogs and Hamburgers.  

After lunch, we gathered upstairs in the Stardust Room to listen to DJ Gary-D play some wonderful tunes from the War Years 1939-1945.  He even took us down memory lane with a few old commercials!

We had a huge turnout!

There were even some WWII memorabilia set up in the back off the room.

It was a wonderful trip down memory lane that we will not soon be forgetting. 

Everyone had a great time during the 4th of July and we can't wait to do it all again next year!
